I am Anna Liamo Bartling, founder of Four Senses Wellness Collection and I feel enormous joy and satisfaction to be part of a greater good for my hometown and generation by preserving old family recipes and heritage crafts. Starting from our rose garden in the small village of Vafios where my husband and I collected for years and multiplied old rose plants with which now we produce cosmetics, room essence and other beautiful natural products. I feel privileged to live in our community and honoured that our project imparts a sense of timelessness and ethical values that our children must also pass on to the next generations.

Ten years ago I returned from Athens back to my village Filia in order to recultivate my grandparents' little field "Stalos". On our small estate, with its beautiful view over the village and its stone-built terraces, we are taking care of our local roses, fig trees and grapes by using agricultural methods, saving water and following the principles of protecting the pollinators. Our organic and award-winning products are based on traditional recipes and reflect the unique identity of the Aeolian land. During spring, visitors are invited to see and hand-pick blooming roses, enjoy guided tours of the fields and learn about environmental stewardship as well as the products we create,such as rose distillate, rose water, rose-infused vinegar and traditional sirup called petimezi made from figs and grapes.
